I wish I'd joined the Coast Guard instead of the Navy. Because then if I were a boatswains mate, I would've had an easier time becoming a Craftmaster (most likely in a Motorized Lifeboat) and then when I got out of the Guard I could move to New Orleans and been a tugboat captain.
